We are delighted to announce that last Thursday, George attended the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Awards Evening, and won the award for which he had been endeavouring towards: Most Outstanding Young Person in Business 2014. Through winning this award he has shown his great capability and versatility throughout the business, and we are extremely happy to have him on board improving both his career standards, and ours, as a company.
On the night, George was presented with the award and the following notes were read out:
*This was a hard fought category and all finalists are deserving of recognition but the judges felt that the list of George’s achievements and the contributions he has made to his company in a short space of time are truly outstanding. His commercial awareness and passion to learn were particularly impressive.
His management team at Allteko have said: “George’s willingness to learn, to tackle new things and to generally fit in to a very tight knit team makes working with him a pleasure. An amazing 18 months” *
George will now be competing for the same title at a national level, and we wish him every success.
In accordance with the Chamber's long-held aim of nurturing and developing links between young people and employers, an award for the Most Outstanding Young Person in a Business, sponsored by Dytecna, was handed out to Allteko's George Hudson. The 20-year old, who joined the engineering and procurement specialists as a Sales and Marketing Apprentice and was recently appointed as the company's Quality Representative, particularly impressed the judges with his commercial awareness.
He said: "I am overjoyed to be the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce's Most Outstanding Young Person in Business 2014. A great pleasure to accept this most prestigious accolade that we are all very proud of at Allteko. A massive thank you to the Chamber for putting on the fantastic night and their continued support; and further thanks to David, Wendy and the rest of the Allteko team; and as always my family."
Mike Ashton, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce CEO, pictured on the right presenting George with his award, said:
